Dr. Erik Arhelger is a Primary Care / Family Medicine doctor at the Live Oak Health Partners location in Kyle, Texas.
He has experience treating a variety of conditions including:
• Chronic Illness such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, thyroid disorders, anxiety/depression
• Acute illnesses such as allergies, colds, flu, gastroenteritis, skin infections
• Acute minor injuries
• In-office procedures such as abscess incision/drainage, nebulizer treatments, ear cleanings, skin tag removals
Although born in Alaska, Dr. Arhelger has lived in Central Texas most of his life. He graduated from The University of Texas in Austin in 1998 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting/printmaking.
He earned his medical degree at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio and attended his residency in Family Practice from 2005-2008 through the AMEP program at Brackenridge Hospital.
In his third year of residency, he received the Mathis Blackstock award, which is awarded to residents who strongly reflect the values of Family Medicine. He has been practicing in Kyle since 2008. He lives in Buda, Texas with his wife, Misty, and his three children: Brittney, Nicholas and Lucas.
In addition to medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors as much as possible, weight-lifting, listening to music, traveling and art.
