What are Allergies?

Allergies occur when your immune system reacts to a foreign substance like pollen, bee venom or pet dander. Your immune system produces antibodies to protect you from unwanted invaders that could make you sick or cause an infection. With allergies, your immune system makes antibodies that flag a particular allergen as something harmful, even though it isn’t. When you come in contact with that allergen, your immune system’s reaction can disturb your skin, sinuses, airways and even your digestive system.

  • Allergy Testing – Identifies what allergens are causing problems for the patient
  • Allergy Drops – Placed under the tongue by the patient at home
  • Allergy Shots – Administered on a weekly basis in the doctor’s office
  • Pediatric Allergies – Sinusitis and allergy treatments
  • Balloon Sinuplasty Procedure – A minimally invasive procedure that clears blocked passages for patients suffering with severe sinusitis
