“Helping people to help themselves”

Dr. Reid is board certified in Family Medicine at the Live Oak Health Partners office in San Marcos. His special areas of interest include population health and obesity management.

Dr. Reid is from Arlington, Texas. Growing up, he wanted to be an architect and help build and design huge buildings and bridges. Clearly that didn’t work out, but his daughter is currently enjoying his thousands of legos.

Before coming to Live Oak Health Partners, Dr. Reid was Chief Resident at Houston Methodist Hospital. He also served as a Microbiologist with Texas Department of State Health Service. He has experience as a chemist, a software engineer, a college professor, and as a forklift driver.

He is fluent in Spanish.

Dr. Reid enjoys gardening but not eating the vegetables – he just likes to grow them. He loves a good steak, riding around on his motorcycle, and doing the exact opposite of the advice that he gives to his patients.
