Dr. Stuart Shapiro is an Orthopedic Surgeon at the Live Oak Health Partners Specialty Care clinic in San Marcos, Texas.

Dr. Shapiro grew up on the East Coast in Maryland. He attended medical school at NYCOM in New York.
He completed his orthopedic residency at Riverside County Regional at Riverside Medical Center/Western University in southern California.
He pursued additional training in advanced shoulder and knee reconstruction as a sports medicine fellow in Orlando, Florida. He is an experienced board certified orthopedic surgeon in practice since 2003 and became a Texan in 2007.
He treats a wide variety of orthopedic problems in patients of all ages. He performs advanced arthroscopic procedures on the shoulder and knee, fracture care, arthritis care, rotator cuff repairs, joint replacements, sprain/strain treatments, sports/athletic injuries, and overuse syndromes.
Dr. Shapiro is the only Orthopedic Surgeon in San Marcos that performs Minimally Invasive Anterior Hip Replacement. He believes in compassionate care and offers surgical and non-surgical options.
Dr. Shapiro is involved in many professional associations and enjoys life in the central Texas hill country with his wife and three children.
